Instagram's Newest Feature Saving You Time & Money

We’ll say it — Instagram is on a roll lately. And the latest feature could be a game-changer for users. The newest feature will allow you to schedule posts directly on the app.

Instagram is currently testing a new feature that will allow users to schedule posts and reels on the app. Better late than never, right?

How does it work? Twitter user @WFBrother shared a screenshot of the new feature. Users who already have this feature can go to the Advanced Settings at the bottom of the page when creating a new post or reel, and select “schedule this post” to choose a date and time.

At the moment, the new feature isn’t available to all users. And anyone who wants to schedule their content in advance can do so with third-party apps* such as Planoly, Tailwind, PlannThat, and more.

This is our go-to scheduling app. It's perfect for seeing your grid, scheduling your IG stories, location and product tagging — and there's a free version with up to 30 uploads a month! The paid version is useful for scheduling content on TikTok, Pinterest, and Instagram reels.

This one is a game-changer for repurposing content on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest — and it even has email marketing! Tailwind can design and reformat your content to be published on different platforms.

PlannThat is great for getting inspiration, scheduling carousel posts, doing hashtag research, and seeing your aesthetic grid because it's easy to move images around. The free version also comes with up to 30 posts a month.

Create a PlannThat account here Whatever the platform is, we highly recommend scheduling out your posts to your optimized times and repurposing your content on all relatable platforms. So whether you're using Planoly, Tailwind, PlannThat or through the Instagram app, you should schedule all posts in advance. But how exciting would it be to schedule posts and reels directly on the Instagram App? This new scheduling feature on Instagram would help social media marketers and content creators save time scheduling their content, and also benefit anyone who doesn’t have access or budget for scheduling tools.

We don’t know when this feature will roll out to all users, but it sounds pretty cool to us! Stay up to date by subscribing to our email list!
